Eddie is a seasoned trainer, executive coach, instructor and career management expert. He has bachelor and master degrees in computer engineering, as well as coach training from Coach University and The Newfield Network. Eddie has been a member of the International Coach Federation since 1999 and is certified through the Coach Training Alliance. He brings years of experience in the areas of leadership development and workplace productivity, having trained and coached with organizations such as Harris Corporation, Motorola, and NASA.

Born in Cuba, raised in Puerto Rico, and fluent in English and Spanish, Eddie brings a bilingual, multicultural perspective to his work. He has worked with senior executives and organizations in countries that include Japan, Spain, Canada, Mexico, and the United States. As Eddie puts it, “the more conscious an individual or group becomes, the fewer the differences that truly exist between them across continents and cultures.” Eddie’s work, therefore, emphasizes the development of leaders using an integral perspective (whole, comprehensive, complete), and encourages their transition to global citizenship.

Eddie is often asked: why did you switch from engineering to coaching? He unabashedly replies: “What I most enjoyed about programming computers and leading project teams in advanced communications, networking, and wireless was a romantic notion that I could somehow help a machine become more conscious. After 10 years, however, I discovered that I could do this much more effectively with people. Today, I coach, train, and consult with the primary objective of helping individuals and organizations become much ICF Member Logomore insightful and aware. This yields results that go beyond merely increasing knowledge and effectiveness: it unleashes individuals and organizations who project a powerful presence, exercise greater choices, and make a profound impact in the world.”

Eddie and his wife, Karen, love to spend time with their two school-aged daughters. You will frequently find them traveling throughout the Southeast United States to attend their daughters’ soccer tournaments and dance competitions. Eddie’s interests also include technology, philosophy, Zen, bicycling, snowboarding, and yoga.

David Brown - Principal

Melbourne, Florida, USA.   321-253-3884

David is an Executive & Organizational Coach and Trainer, coaching fulltime since 1998. He has a Masters degree in clinical psychology and received coach training from Limitbusters Coaching & Training and The Newfield Network. David was also a past president of the local chapter of the International Coach Federation, of which he was a longtime member.

When asked about making the transition from therapist to coach, David reports there was a lot of unlearning to do. “The therapist/patient relationship is hierarchical where the therapist knows how to treat the diagnosed problem. That’s why you could have “managed care”. The medical model sees problems to be fixed. Coaching is a true partnership using curiosity and increased awareness to challenge the way we see and act in the world, with the goal of people becoming more powerful change agents in our lives and environments. It respects our complexity. ”

This shift from what’s wrong to what’s possible led David to focus on the environments where such empowerment could make the most difference for the most people. Mostly we are affected by businesses, as workers and consumers. David believes that people are the most powerful competitive advantage in any company, but because of the complexity of these relationships most leaders focus on the systems and processes they can control. Yet just as with individual relationships, companies can also integrate people, purpose and profit with greater awareness of the culture and infrastructure that drives and sustains outcomes. They can include multiple bottom lines, from economic profit to social mission and sustainability.

David is also on the Boards of two local non-profits: one feeds the homeless, the other serves people with Multiple Sclerosis. Diagnosed with MS in 1998, David applies the same attitude of possibility to his own health and continues to thrive, keeping his MS at a standstill. He still enjoys hiking and disc golf, has taken up sculpture, meditates and is a student of philosophy, Zen and the Integral Model of Ken Wilber. David is joyfully married to Jill, an Occupational Therapist and Fiber Artist, collaborating on art projects as well as life. He has two sons, one in high school and the other in college, who remind him of this quote from Mark Twain: “When I was a boy of 14, my father was so ignorant I could hardly stand to have the old man around. But when I was 21 I was astonished at how much the old man had learned in 7 years.”
