Our Approach - Foundation
From your perspective, sharing concerns, challenges, objectives, and dreams with outsiders might be a risky venture. We're businesspeople too and understand this. We therefore hold ourselves to the highest standards of ethics and integrity and believe that good relationships are built on a solid foundation of trust and shared, meaningful intentions.
1. Setting the foundation for success
You and I both want something. As in any relationship, it starts out as an “I-You” and ideally becomes a “We” that reflects shared meaning. On the MasterCoaches end of the partnership, we believe that when people have an appropriate context and freely choose their path, they take more powerful, thoughtful, and meaningful actions. We prefer working in such supportive environments and being served by those kinds of employees. We trust that they will add greater value to their workplaces and be a source of extraordinary goods and services. Those are the people and companies we want to invest in and be loyal to.
Exercising such choice requires awareness or consciousness. Of what? For starters, of the three reasons why good people and companies suffer. Awareness (vs. information, data, or knowledge) is the gatekeeper to choice. We cannot truly choose if a possibility has not entered our radar screen.
Our choices leverage a powerful influence on our future. Our awareness allows us to notice when we choose personal or short-term expedience over greater, overarching purposes. We believe this to be at the center of many challenges and complaints expressed in leaders and their organizations today, such as: politics, distrust, conditional commitments, communication deficiencies, poor follow-through, and inefficient use of time.
Our awareness creates a context for how we experience everything and create meaning. It’s why the dissatisfied customer’s anger is turned to surprise, even loyalty, by the understanding manager committed to making it right. New perspectives can reveal a wider array of choices that can yield extraordinary results previously not imagined. What we want for you, therefore, is greater awareness: of your potential, of the opportunities available to you, of who you really are, and of where you hold back.
